49 degrees and sunny, how lovely...

I'll be spending all day in a car driving to the other part of the state, where it's slightly warmer...but it's raining.

But I get my new car this weekend!  (Hopefully)  New freaking stereo!  yeah.

So anyway, Grad night was interesting, except for a couple big downers, but hey, I had some fun. For starters, the bus on the way to our first destination was blasting rap music so loud, I thought my head was going to explode or I was going to go deaf. It was rediculous. Then we get to the first place. GoKarts. Awesomeness. It had gokarts, karaoke, a couple of arcade games, and other stuff. I was all for the racing, and I did it a couple times, but then Hannah and I went up to try out the karaoke machine. It was a little nervy because we were the only two up there, but I had a song I wanted to try and so did Hannah, but it was kinda dumb for us to be the only two up there.

Well anyway, lucky us, that's when everyone else decides to come upstairs to try the karaoke machine and has ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHAT A LINE IS apparently. So there's the option to reserve a song, and all these girls are crowding it, trying a different song every thirty seconds when they can't get the beat on the song they're on. I decide to reserve a song, and everyone gets pissed off when it's not the song they requested, and I go and say that they've been around the stupid machine and have had their pick at at least ten songs before I finally got sick of waiting for them to finish and put my own song on reserve.

Gah I'm way too pushy for my own good.

I back off when one of my acquaintances (because I can't call her a friend) tells me she hasn't had a chance to sing yet (and she hasn't) so I let her go, but she is SO off key, I can't stand to be in the room anymore. So I go down because it's open racing on the GoKarts. I go back up after my race and Hannah and I do a duo of Gimme Gimme Gimme by Abba, because we had recently seen Mamma Mia, and it's kind of an inside joke. Sad thing was Hannah didn't know the song as well as I did, so it was mostly me singing and her joining in at intervals. I did a solo of Once Upon a December, and tried to do Time is Running Out by Muse, but people thought I've been on it for too long and wanted their turn (believe me, I wasn't on a third of the time the others were)

At about 3AM, it was time to leave, and we made our way to this random part of Seattle to get on a boat in Lake Washington. Blackjack tables, Dancing to rediculous music and a downright HILARIOUS Hypnotist show were the highlights, but, I spent all my energy explaining the rediculousness of the karaoke machine, so I'm signing off.

This post comes to you live from Skycam 5...

...In the Jungle of Nool near the River Walloo.

Seussical is on its third night and the only way to go is up. We've gotten progressivley better every night since opening night, and with a week-long break, I'm not sure if the momentum can keep up, but then again, we're getting better with each performance. I'm excited.

On the crushing front, I hate my emotions. Seriously. This guy has a gf (albeit across the country) and I can't stop thinking about him! Doesn't help matters when he and I are playing practically the same part in the show. (I have a weakness for guys who can sing) GAH!

First order of business:

I just finished watching (non-musical version) Les Miserables in Calc today (long story). I want me some Javert/Jean Valjean slash NOW. If anyone has recs, that would be awesome, but I'm probably going to teeter into the Pit later on to find some...

I don't remember what the second was...

Music Theater Drama that I'm sick of, but can't stop venting about. One of the girls missed Dress Rehearsal, and blatantly lied to our director about being there. She's been missing class for weeks, and doesn't even bother learning the choreography or the music. She was fired once, but she managed to get back in favor, so she was back, but now that she actually missed Dress Rehearsal, I think director finalized the banhammer. I hope so. I heard her conversing with her friends about how she missed Dress because 'she was a firefighter and as a firefighter she had to be at the fire drill' that was on the same day. She called Dress a 'Dress rehearsal thingy'.

It makes me wonder: if you really don't care about the program, the show, the cast, and the ensemble enough to show up or respect it, why in the seven hells did you sign up for the bloody class? It isn't an easy A for people who just want to blow it off. Get your damn priorities straight, and stop trying to weasel your way out of responsibility! Bloody hell!

Show in 2 weeks!!!!! I can't wait!!!

Well, I guess it's all downhill from here.

Now that my final AP test is over with, I'm pretty much done with half of my classes. Really, we're watching movies and playing games while doing actual math once a week in Calc, and then we have a final project in Composition, but it has to do with media influence, I think, so that doesn't really matter.

Really, the next hump I have to get over is Musical Theater and the Seussical show. We're done on that front in the first full weekend in June, and then only class I'll actually have to do anything in is Spanish! SuperSpecialAwesome.

I'm about a thousand dollars away from covering my freshman year without loans. If I get there, it'd be nice, if I don't, $958 is better than $4,458 when it comes to loans.

It's past midnight. Tomorrow Today is Friday. I told myself I'd actually get some sleep tonight, and since GaiaOnline isn't even loading for me, I guess I should call it a night.

Welcome to My own special brand of hell...

Guess what I'm doing tomorrow?

Four-hour Composition Exam.

Hell in a handbasket. I shouldn't be up this late. I really shouldn't.

So now I'm trying to remember the main characters of everything I ever read for the free response question, and failing considerably. I don't even remember the general storyline of Kafka's Metamorphosis for crying out loud!

Of course, it being midnight might explain a couple things, but I'm going to be even more out of it tomorrow.

Sleep, dreams, please cram a few things into my how to not write like a stiff on a formal examination... boooooooooooooooness.
